Froggles Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Froggles is a word game. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it minimal: we don't show ads and we don't sell your data.
What we collect
- Account ID. When you first open Froggles we create an anonymous account (via Google Firebase Authentication) so your Froggles and progress can be saved and synced across your devices. It's a random identifier, not your name, email, or phone number.
- Game data. Your collection, progress, settings, scores, and in-game currency, stored on your device and backed up to our cloud, tied to your account ID.
- Username (optional). If you set a display name it's stored and shown on leaderboards and to friends. Please don't put personal information in it.
- Leaderboard entries. For the Daily Board, your username, score, and word count are uploaded to our servers and stored so the leaderboard can be shown to other players. Old entries are cleared periodically.
- Friends & challenges. If you add friends or share a board, the handles and the words played on that board are stored so the challenge works.
- Sign-in (optional). You can sign in with Google or Apple to secure your account and keep it across devices. If you do, we receive and store the email address and the name on that account. Signing in is optional; you can keep playing as a guest.
- Google Play Games (optional). If you connect Google Play Games, we receive your Play Games player ID and gamer tag to show achievements and leaderboards. That data is also handled by Google under its own terms.
Unless you choose to sign in, we don't collect your name or email. We never collect your phone number, contacts, location, or photos.
How we use it
Only to run the game: save and sync your progress, show leaderboards and friends, keep the daily board working, and, if you sign in, secure your account.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) to store and sync data. If you sign in we use Google or Apple sign-in, and if you connect it we use Google Play Games Services. These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies.
Children
Froggles is family-friendly, and the core game stores only anonymous game data. Account sign-in and Google Play Games are meant for players who meet those services' age requirements. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided it, contact us and we'll remove it.
Purchases
Any in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment details.
Keeping & deleting your data
Your data is kept while you use the app. To delete the data tied to your account (anonymous or signed-in), email us at support@solhog.com and we'll remove it. See how to delete your account.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use means you accept the current version.
